Watching Netflix is an ordinary leisure activity among the younger generations, and the Sheik community can confirm it. Everyone knows about the popular shows such as “13 Reasons Why,” “Money Heist,” and “Stranger Things.” However, leaving the overrated behind, what do seniors believe the most underrated Netflix shows are?
“‘Better Call Saul.’ This is one of the best shows on Netflix. It is a spinoff from ‘Breaking Bad.’ It is a really interesting show that shows a good lawyer just trying to get by. Every turn he makes there is always an obstacle out there,” said Jeremy Stafford, SAS senior.
It is true that during these days, one has to take care of their mental health no matter what obstacles are faced. This is what the next recommendation is about.
“In my opinion, ‘Unorthodox’ is one of the most underrated shows on Netflix. The reason I would recommend this show is because the main character never stops. No matter what she’s told or what her community, life or religion throws at her, she never stops. She chooses happiness and shouldn’t we all?,” said Leslie Rodriguez, SAS senior.
The last recommendation brings a show that depicts common, undeniable issues among the teen community.
“For me I think an underrated show on Netflix is ‘Cobra Kai,’ the reason is that it shows many problems that current teens have such as bullying and lacking respect to parents, and while solving those issues, it also follows the story that it’s told,” said Jesus Vasquez, NMA senior.
These shows illustrate recurrent barriers that are often encountered by all, and that they can go away. For now, we shall watch them until the universal complication we are currently facing vanishes, too.
