A zoom meeting to discuss new senior updates was hosted today, March 25. Senior class president, Jade Ventling, along with the rest of the senior cabinet presented new updates and deadlines.

Senior Portraits:

Senior portraits were due already. If you were not able to take your senior portraits at Fotorama Studio, you may upload a senior selfie to the ‘Senior Class Info Survey’. You must have a dark background, dress formally, and the picture must be a headshot.

Yearbook:

The yearbook can be ordered online. The price of the yearbook goes up every month. It is important for students to place their order as soon as possible so that the yearbook staff knows how many to order.

Cap and Gown Measurements and Orders:

If you plan on purchasing a cap and gown you must pay for it at the student store. The cap and gown costs $10.

If you do not plan on purchasing a cap and gown you must complete your rental agreement and submit it to Mr.Dovlatian.

You can find the rental agreement here: https://bit.ly/SeniorClass2021infopage under the Cap & Gown Measurements tab.

Senior Sweatshirts:

The cabinet has set up a new survey for the senior sweatshirt design. The survey is due March 26 at midnight.

Prom:

The school currently has plans to host prom at The California Science Center under the US Challenger SpaceCraft. A firm decision regarding whether or not prom will be hosted has not been made.

Senior Aloha Breakfast/Lunch:

In previous years, the school has hosted senior breakfast at Dave & Busters. Due to the pandemic Dave & Busters is closed so the cabinet has a plan to host a picnic-like lunch at a park. More information will be announced soon.

Graduation:

LA County’s Health Department and LAUSD will make a decision whether or not graduation can be hosted at the Hollywood Bowl based on the amount of COVID cases in LA County. A firm decision has not been made yet.

Graduating in White:

In order to graduate in white you must submit the ‘Graduating in White Application’. You qualify to apply if you have a 3.7 LAUSD GPA and if you have no D’s, F’s, or U’s on your senior report card.

The application is due on April 16 at 3 P.M

Senior Class Song:

The song ‘See you Again’ by Charlie Puth was chosen to be the senior class song.

Grad Night:

Unfortunately, the school does not have any plans for Grad Night. In order for Grad Night to be possible a parent group must sponsor the event and collect ticket fees. They must also secure a form of transportation.
