The movie “Godzilla vs. Kong” has generated countless reactions around the world. While some believe this movie will break the internet, others think it is “just another movie about monsters”. The movie is a mix between the “Godzilla” franchise and the “King Kong” franchise, which makes it the 36th film in Godzilla’s franchise and the 12th film in King Kong’s. Directed by Adam Wingard, the movie was expected to be released in theaters and on HBO Max sometime in November 2020, however, the film experienced many delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic and now it will be released on March 25, 2021.

The movie follows Kong, who makes a strong bond with a little girl that he promises to protect. But in a journey to find their true home, they find themselves in the path of another enraged titan, Godzilla. According to the director, this clash between the two titans is only the beginning to the mystery that lies within the core of the earth, which can be expected to be an ecosystem of other giant super-species. This not only builds suspense about other titans fighting, but also makes the interest of people towards the movie escalate to another level.

TCA senior Bryan Ariza said, “It’s pretty predictable that there will be a plot twist in the movie, but I’m really excited to go and watch this movie with my friends. #teamgodzilla.”

Just like are people who support Godzilla, there are also students who support Kong, like TCA senior Ivan Bautista, who said, “I think it’ll be a great movie if monkey wins.”

Outside of Hollywood High School, this movie is also all over the internet. It has become famous on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, which is another reason to believe this movie can break the internet.
