Looking for something to do over the summer? Don’t wait now, summer is coming up, and there are still plenty of things to do. From internships to programs to bootcamp and more.

For those of you interested in anything S.T.E.M. field related, like engineering, or tech, there is the Tech360 summer bootcamp and a summer internship. The LADWP Summer youth internship will take place between June 17 to Aug. 9, and there will be a variety of positions and departments to choose from, such as engineering, geology, and water.

The Tech360 summer bootcamp will include two different cycles of participants, starting with cycle one, June 24 to July 11, and starting the second from July 22 to Aug. 8.  The best part is that you don’t need any coding experience prior, so there’s no need to shy away from the opportunity. Most of the time will be spent learning to code through web design and development, and will help you gain or develop any technical and professional skills you might need later on.

Perhaps you want something more hands on, then there is the Architecture Summer Camp. It’s a camp designed to expose youth into the architectural environment, and gives the students a platform to mold their skills and creativity throughout the program, starting July 6 until July 27 every saturday.

If none of these piqued your interest, then maybe you are searching for something more profitable and engaging such as a job. LA’s Department of Recreation and Parks will also have many jobs available all throughout the summer. They have multiple positions like being a lifeguard, or a recreation assistant, and also allow for a flexible schedule and a decent pay.

To learn more about the requirements for any of these you can find them on the Schoology homepage.
