Build rockets, program robots at UC Stem Fest Saturday

The UC’s annual Stem Fest, hosted by the STEM Global Action, takes place at the Michelle & Barack Obama Sports Complex tomorrow from 9 a.m. to noon. This free festival is sponsored by UCLA.

Since its founding in 2013 the STEM Global Action’ affiliations has brought together over 155,00 students, from diverse communities who have interest in the STEM field. 

“The UCs are trying to encourage students to enter into the STEM field through this event,” said Evelyn Gaspar, SAS counselor.

K-12 students have an opportunity to engage in various STEM activities such as building rockets, coding, and programming robots. Staff will provide students with all the resources needed upon their arrival. 

Through this event students will get exposure to various career opportunities in the STEM field. In order to attend this event participants will have to RSVP through the QR Code below.
