The Sheiks football team will have their first game of the season this Thursday, Aug.16. at 7 p.m.
The original date was Friday, Aug.17 but due to scheduling conflicts with referees. Thursday was the agreed-upon date rather than Saturday which was an option.
“Rain or shine we are still [going] to go out no matter what time or place,” said football captain Freddy Martinez. ”We are just hungry to win.”
The theme for this football game is “white-out.” Meaning students and staff are encouraged to wear white to the football game.
The Associated Student Body will be at the game promoting school spirit, giving shoutouts, and providing fav, shoutouts, and face painting. ASB sells various concessions including ramen, which they announced on their Instagram.
Cheer will not be performing during the first game.
