The 14-2 Lady Sheiks prepare to take on the winless Belmont Sentinels this Thursday at 4 p.m. for their senior night.  With a win against Belmont, they will officially be league champions.

Lady Sheiks had no struggle beating Belmont the last time these two faced off, defeating them 62-6. Belmont has yet to score 10 points in a game all season.

This year’s team features seven seniors, each of them deserving a proper send off before the playoffs begin.

“I feel really excited about it, I’ve waited four years to finally celebrate with my fellow seniors, so it’s nostalgic but very exciting,” said Captain Nadia Rios.

The team currently stands first in their league for back-to-back years led by head coach Wendy Carter. As they prepare for what could be their last home game, it could be an emotional outing.

The team expects a strong push into the playoffs, with a strong record they will surely receive a high ranking to start their playoff run.

The Lady Sheiks have had a memorable season thus far, trying to replicate their 16-win campaign from last year.
