The Cinderella musical takes place Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays April 1-10 in the auditorium.

Liana Apitsaryan, a Performing Arts Magnet student, plays a peasant in the Cinderella musical. Liana is mostly excited about counting down the days so everyone in the audience can see how ¨amazing¨ the performers are.

¨I´m most nervous about messing up or falling,¨ said Liana, a senior.  Her role is a featured vocalist ensemble who also plays as a peasant. She has only one line to sing by herself which she is very excited about. Most of the show is played with a partner. For example, all of the characters will be dancing with another partner for most of the show which she said makes the play fun.

Julieta Marchesini is another Performing Arts student in the the show. ¨I’m mostly excited about the costume design and performing in front of an audience,¨ said Julieta, a freshman.

She said she is most nervous about technical difficulties that could possibly happen as well as mistakes that could occur in the choreography.  Julieta´s role is as an ensemble member. An ensemble in theater is a character who doesn’t really have a name because they blend in with a group of people. For example, her role in this play is to sing in groups with other people.

Make sure to see the Cinderella musical starting tomorrow, so you can be able to recognize these two actors and give them a round of applause. The production runs Fridays and Saturdays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for students or $5 pre-sale before opening night.
