Senior portraits started being taken on Feb. 15 and will continue to be taken throughout the month of February.

The portraits are being taken at the Fotorama Photography Studio in Gardena. You can go Monday-Friday from 2-5p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m.- 2 p.m. No appointment is needed. This came after a late notification to take the senior portraits.

There are three easy steps you have to follow. The first step is to fill-out an order form that will be provided at the Fotorama studio. You have to bring payment the day you decide to take your pictures, cash and credit/ debit cards are accepted payment methods.

The second step is to take the pictures. Fotorama provides: shirts, ties, tuxedo, drape, cap and gown, and props. Seniors should dress in all-black clothes.

The last step is to select the yearbook and pictures you like the best online in 2 weeks. The Fotorama Photography Studio offers different picture packages, which if your parent wants, you can buy. The password for that is your student ID number.

“Considering that many of our senior activities have been cancelled,” said Alondra Cortes, SAS senior, “I think it’s something some people might be looking forward to. But overall, the pandemic has made it hard to organize, so it can get pretty chaotic.”

Many seniors raised concerns about being able to go to the site to take their pictures due to it being in Gardena, which is far for many.  However,  many seniors also don’t want their previous pictures to be added in the yearbook either. The late notice didn’t allow many seniors to attend on Feb. 15, but there is still time to go.
