Brook’Lynn Sanders, Hollywood High School Junior, is starring in the second season of “The L Word: Generation Q” as Kayla Allenwood.

“The L Word”, originally released in 2004, is coming back for a second season in 2021. What’s more exciting is that one of our Sheiks will be starring in it. Sixteen-year-old Brook’Lynn Sanders will be featured on the show; the duration is still unknown.

This show follows a group of LGBTQ+ youth as they go through their daily struggles, away from the LGBTQ+ community.

“The show touches on mixed families, personal relationships, and the impact being a part of the LGBTQ+ community has on their careers,” said Brook’Lynn. “It really brightens up the stigmas surrounding the LGBTQ+ community.”

After receiving a call from her agent, Brook’Lynn turned in a “self-tape audition” and waited several days until she got a call back. “I was so excited, yet really nervous since I wasn’t used to using zoom for auditions before,” she said.

After her call back she was placed on hold, which is where she waited on the decision of whether or not she would be cast in the show. She waited for almost a month until her manager gave her the exciting news; that she was officially cast on the show.

Since filming for this show began in December of last year, we can be expecting an official release date somewhere this year.

For anyone concerned with the well being of our fellow Sheik, strict COVID regulations are being enforced during filming. Masks have to be worn at all times before filming and immediately put back on after. COVID testing is also mandatory twice a week as well.

So binge “The L Word” and be ready for the upcoming new season. Of course, don’t forget to keep an eye out for Brook’Lynn Sanders.
