The 33rd annual Kingdom Day Parade in South Los Angeles is a celebration of the legacy and accomplishments Martin Luther King Jr. left behind. The parade took place at Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Western Avenue at 10 a.m.

According to Adrian Dove who is the parade’s president, there were about 150 units in the parade. This includes floats, bands, dance and martial arts groups involving more than 3,000 people. A few celebrities made appearances such as Derrel Thomas and Dennis Powell (former players of the Dodgers in 1985-86).
