As you all know the 89th Annual Oscar Academy Awards took place this weekend on Sunday, Feb. 26. With Justin Timberlake’s opening performance of one of his songs, “Can’t Stop the Feeling”. John legend made a special performance singing the nominated song “City of Stars” from La La Land. And the moment that will go down in history. The Moment that left the audience with their mouth open.
“This is not a joke, ‘Moonlight’ has won best picture, ” Horowitz said. “‘Moonlight.’ Best picture.” This was said after they had incorrectly announced that La La Land had won best picture, when in reality it was Moonlight.
People are comparing this event to the event in which Steve Harvey incorrectly announced Miss Universe.
