Once again, in our third consecutive year, Hollywood has beat Bernstein. This past Friday at 7pm, past and present Hollywood students gathered at Bernstein High School to see the most talked about game of the season.
Spirits were high and Hollywood wanted to maintain their winning streak. During the game there was a very scary moment. We were tied and we were not having it. Then, Hollywood took the winning touchdown and brought the paddle home once again.
As freshman and first time Hollywood vs Bernstein spectator, Joshua Alejandro said “This was a very fun and new experience.” If you have not been to a Hollywood vs. Bernstein game you are missing out. The game is very different from others, and has truly a very different ambient.
First of all there are way more people, and school spirit is higher than ever. At one point during the game, this past Friday was supposed to be Bernstein High’s senior night. The school’s cheer squad and bad began performing on the field, soon taken over by the Hollywood High cheer squad, band, and dance guard.
As we beat Bernstein, Hollywood has also advanced to playoffs. Playing our first playoff game this Thursday at 7pm, versus Van Nuys High School. Come out and support Hollywood, do not be afraid of sheik pride because it will eventually get you.
