Cartman wins Sheik costume contest

A Halloween costume contest awarded three winners, for being recognized as the most creative Sheik on campus this Monday. 

The contest was sponsored by the Associated Student Body and was held during lunch at the quad. Students applied through a google form link, on the ASB instagram. Approximately 19 students participated, in hopes of winning prizes such as gift cards and gift baskets.

The first-place winner was Karla Sanchez who won a $15 gift card and a bucket for her Eric Cartman from South Park costume The second-place winner Natalie Mercado, received a $15 dollar gift card for her Tupac costume. The third-place winner, Jaylee Mendez received a $10 gift card for her pink baby shark costume. 

“Winning made me feel like I was becoming Erick Cartman,” said Karla. “I didn’t choose the costume, the costume chose me.”
