School can get overwhelming, especially during the spring semester when students can be bombarded with updates. Here is all the up-to-date important information that you need to know before spring break starts April 9.

Junior SAT

The Class of 2023 will take the SAT during the school day on Wednesday, March 23. “Check your LAUSD email for more information and see attached for everything you need to know about the SAT,” said counselor Alyssa Pinedo in a Schoology post. “I will be emailing and posting on Schoology your room assignment as soon as possible.”

Check your mailbox the day before to know what room you should report to. Make sure to bring a calculator and eraser along with snacks and water.

$500 Apple Card

Students who upload their vaccination to their DailyPass will be eligible to win a $500 Apple gift card. Through a randomized drawing on April 8 one student will be picked. Both series of vaccination must be uploaded by April 7. For more information, see PSA Counselor, Sandra Cervantes in the attendance office.

Credits

NMA Magnet Counselor, Edwin Deleon, gave Hollywood High School students a reminder on credits. Freshmen will have to complete 50 credits in order to go onto 10th grade. Sophomores will need to complete 105 credits to go onto 11th grade. Juniors will need to achieve 160 credits to go onto 12th grade. Finally, in order for the seniors to walk the stage and graduate, they will have to complete 210 credits.

Deleon sent out Consent Forms to students email, so students who need to make-up credits still get the opportunity.

You can contact Deleon at  eed6575@lausd.net  or (323) 538-5620 for more information.

“Keep up the great work and please reach out if you need any help,” said Deleon.
