The iconic series South Park returned to Comedy Central with its 25th season on Feb. 2. Although it didn’t have an official 24th season during 2020 and 2021, it had four specials: “The Pandemic Special”, the “South ParQ: Vaccination Special”, South Park: Post Covid, and South Park: Post Covid: The Return of Covid.

Two of the specials, Post Covid, and Post Covid: The Return of Covid were exclusive to Paramount Plus+ as part of a recently signed deal between Viacom CBSInc. and South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone which will have the pair produce 14 movies for the platform. The $900-million deal, one of the biggest in TV history, will also continue South Park through 2027.

As of now, South Park’s 25th season has released two episodes: “Pajama Day” and “The Big Fix.” Four more are set to be released, but there has not been an announcement indicating how many more episodes will be or have been produced.

The first episode. “Pajama Day” which premiered on Feb. 2, on Comedy Central, showed the 4th grade class dealing with them losing their pajama day privileges.

The second episode, “The Big Fix,” which premiered on Feb. 9, brought to light new information on a character that has always been a background character, and is presumed to now become a main character this season.
