Swimming into the next semester

The swim team has started their dryland practices every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 3:40 to 5 p.m. Practices take place at the blacktop next to the bleachers.

Dryland is an activity that is done inland where it helps you improve your strength, flexibility, and your physical. Dryland helps prepare you for when swimming actually starts. The objective is to make swimmers get faster and stronger in the water.

Marvin Centeno, SAS senior and swim captain said, “It’s been a while since we’ve had a full swim team but I’m more certain our new team will be better than ever.”

Students who are interested can still join but must be fully vaccinated and have a physical done by January when the actual swimming practices begin. If interested, please turn in your sports packet to athlete director Wendy Carter, room 200A in the TCA building.

Even those who still haven’t gotten any of them done are still welcome to come to dryland practices with everyone else.
