Hollywood High School will become a COVID-19 testing site on Monday. This could be beneficial not only for students and their families but also for the community around the school.

In order to be tested, you will need to set up an appointment with the school. Make sure that before, you check if you’ve gotten an email, phone call, or letter from the school so that you can make the appointment. Once you’ve got one of three things listed you will need to give a legal guardian your student ID to set up the appointment. Most likely when testing at Hollywood High does occur, only staff, parents, and students will be allowed to go.

The COVID-19 testing procedures will be done regularly to any student, staff, and parents who made an appointment at no cost. There are different types of tests that you can take such as the nasal swab test as the primary method, and the saliva test for children and adults. The results will be emailed to you as soon as possible. Additionally, if you request a kit to test yourself, the results will take about 24-36 hours.

The student body as well as those in the community should use this to their advantage and test themselves to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 not only in their community but also throughout LA.

  1. The vaccine will be administered at Hollywood HS soon, too. Because of the Wellness Center, we have the refrigeration to house the vaccines.
