We’ve had months in this quarantine, and have had so little time to do things that can make us feel entertained and take our minds off of the issues both inside and outside of our home. There are always things you can do in the comfort of your home that can allow these stressful times to feel at least a bit less difficult.
Below are some ideas:
- Write or Document
During this time, it can be difficult to concentrate on schoolwork with all the events occurring around us, and sometimes all we need is some time to relax. One thing that can help us decompress is documenting our personal lives in this pandemic. Who knows, you can even pass it down to the next generation to show the experiences we lived through in this historic moment.
- Watch Movies or Shows
No matter the genre, we all love movies. Take some time to relax on your bed or couch with a blanket and watch your favorites, in this cold season. You can also expand your horizons and watch something you never thought you would.
Stuck at home with schoolwork and home responsibilities, it is important to take some time to relax your brain and body. Meditation allows us to center ourselves into our own mind, and find peace out of the situation we are all living.
- Learn a new language
We live in a world with different cultures, languages, and backgrounds, why not spend time learning a new language. This can give us an opportunity to expand our vocabulary, and help with communicating with more people and venture off with a new experience.
- Experiment in the Kitchen
At the beginning of the pandemic, we were all struggling to keep food in the house and we had to make do with what we had. We got the advantage of trying new things by baking snacks and cooking food. This helps get the family involved and become more united because everyone can help to make a family treat.
