Halloween season is here, which means time for some spooky movies and snacks. There are many streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, and Disney +, that can provide you with your favorite spooky movies. Here are a selection of movies that you might enjoy.
Netflix offers many to choose from, including:
- Veronica
During a solar eclipse in Spain, Veronica and her friends decided to play with a Ouija Board. Veronica loses consciousness when playing and whispers something that terrifies her friends. After the game, the presence of evil demons is seen.
- Hush
A deaf girl named Maddie moved to the woods to live a solitary life. In her house she felt safe, what she did not know was that she was in danger. A masked killer begins terrorizing Maddie and she must fight in silence for her life.
- The Autopsy of Jane Doe
Austin Tiden and his father Tommy Tiden begin investigating the death of a beautiful unknown girl. They both find strange clues and deal with paranormal activities.

- Coraline
A girl named Coraline moves into a new unusual home. She discovers a secret door that takes her into an alternate world, where her life is mirrored. She likes her mirrored life more than her normal life. Her mother and family from the other world try to trap Coraline so Coraline decides that she wants to stay with her normal family. She must use all of her resources and bravery to escape.
- Casper
Casper is a young ghost who haunts a mansion in Maine. He is very friendly and soon makes a new human friend. Casper then falls in love with her but it is very hard to start a relationship with her.
- Beetlejuice
Barbara and Adam Maitland died in a car accident and turned into ghosts. They found themselves stuck in their country residence so they decided to start haunting their house. Deetzes and her daughter Lydia, buy the Maitland’s home. This upsets the Maitland’s so they decide to haunt them but they are unsuccessful. Their unsuccessful attempt to scare Deetzes and Lydia attracts the dangerous help of Beetlejuice.
- The Addams family
The mysterious and spooky Adams family are getting ready to receive a visit from their even creepier family members. Trouble arises when Margaux Needler realizes that the Addams’ mansion is standing in the way of her dream to sell all the houses in the neighborhood.
- Edward Scissorhands
A scientist creates an animated human being named Edward. He gives him a freaky appearance and before he can fix him, he dies. Edward was left with scissorhands, and it made him an outcast. A loving lady takes Edward home and he falls in love with her daughter,

- The Nightmare Before Christmas
Jack Skellington, Halloweentowns beloved pumpkin king, accidentally stumbles on Christmastown with lights and warm spirits. He attempts to bring Christmas under his control by kidnapping Santa Claus and taking over his role. But Jack discovers that the best laid plans of mice and skeleton can easily and quickly go wrong.
- Hocus Pocus
Max Dennison explores an abandoned house with his sister and their new friend Allison, after moving to Salem, Mass. Max accidentally frees a coven of evil witches who used to live in the abandoned house. With the help of a magical cat, the kids must steal the witches’ book of spells and to stop them from becoming immortal.
- Frankenweenie
Science nerd, Victor Frankenstein, has his one good friend- his dog Sparky. Tragedy strikes and Sparky shuffles off this mortal coil, leaving Victor heartbroken. With the help of his science teacher, they bring Sparky back to life, only to have other students steal this idea and bring other animals back to life, too.
- Maleficent
Maleficent has an ideal life in a forest kingdom, until invading armies threaten the land and Maleficent rises up to become its fiercest protector. The betrayal causes her heart to harden and for her to become a monstrous creature seeking revenge. She engages in a battle with the engaging king’s successors and curses their newborn daughter, Aurora. Only to find later that the child will bring peace to the kingdom.
