Key Club participated in Westside Food Bank’s 28th Annual 5K “Hunger Walk” to raise awareness on local hunger and poverty on Sunday, Oct. 21. This event took place at Ocean View Park (2701 Barnard Way Santa Monica) and started around 12 noon and lasted until 3pm. Participation was free and the event included live entertainment, family-friendly fun zones, games, activities and even an opportunity to win raffled prizes and awards. First year Key Club member, Kimberly Mora, says, “It was fun and it was nice helping out others…”.

The “Hunger Walk” is a great way to spend time with family, friends and colleagues, yet at the same time, raise awareness for a noble cause. TCA senior, Diego Medina, expresses, “I felt like it made a change… not just in myself, but in a community to come together for a cause…”.

NOTICE: If you are interested in knowing what is the next event Key Club has planned out, it will be the “Light the Night” 1 mile walk to raise awareness of leukemia and will take place on Nov. 3.
