Every month Netflix adds new movies, shows, and documentaries throughout the new month. March is jammed pack with 116 new entries. A notable entry includes Jessica Jones season 2 due to the three-year wait but Jessica Jones was in The Defenders, another Netflix show that was released in 2017. Netflix will also add the classic Ghostbusters and the sequel Ghostbusters 2 this month.
March 1
Ghostbusters (1984)
Cast: Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Ernie Hudson, and Sigourney Weaver
Plot: A team of scientist loses their jobs so they decide to become Ghostbusters. While ghostbusting, they find a gateway to another dimension that releases all evil upon the city so it is their job to save it.
Ghostbusters II (1989)
Cast: Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Ernie Hudson, and Sigourney Weaver
Plot: The team of ghostbusters disbanded but came together when a ghost has taken an interest in Venkman’s (Bill Murray) son.
March 8
Jessica Jones (season 2)
Cast: Krysten Ritter, Rachel Taylor, Carrie Anne Moss, Eka Darville, and Leah Gibson
Plot: This is the second season of this show. This season focuses on Jessica Jones’ new case after what happen to Killgrave. Every episode was directed by a woman.
March 9
My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman: Malala Yousafzai
Cast: David Letterman and Malala Yousafzai
Plot: Letterman interviews a widely known person each episode. This months episode is Malala Yousafzai, an activist who risked her life for her cause, is the youngest Nobel Peace Prize winner.
March 16
On My Block
Cast: Jason Genao, Ronni Hawk, Jessica Garcia, Diego Tinoco, Brett Gray, and Sierra Capri.
Plot: This new Netflix original is a coming of age comedy of four friends navigating their way in high school located in South Central.
March 20
The Standups (season 2)
Cast: Aparna Nacherla, Gina Yashere, Rachel Feinstein, Kyle Kianna, Joe List, and Brent Morin.
Plot: Six different comedians showcase their standup.
March 30
A Series of Unfortunate Events (Season 2)
Cast: Neil Patrick Harris, Malina Weissman, Patrick Warburton, and Louis Hynes
Plot: The tragic tale of three orphans who investigate their parents’ death.
