For those who missed it, the 60th Annual Grammy Awards was yesterday, Jan 28. Hosted by the Carpool Karaoke Genius James Corden , the night was filled with joy, happiness and most of all , strength.

With the current scandals going on with the entertainment industry, there was talks and mentions.  On of the most memorable happened to be Kesha’s Performance of her song “Praying.”

It all started off with an introduction from Janelle Monae as she talks about speaking up about sexual abuse in the music industry. As the stage centers we have artists like Camilla Cabello and Cyndi Lauper hum and sing their hearts out . Wearing white to support #TIMESUP movement, it was a very powerful performance.

Another memorable performance was the cover of “Tears in Heaven “ by the Osbourne Brothers, Maren Morris, and  Eric Church as they honor the victims of the Las Vegas and Manchester shootings.

The Cuban-American singer -songwriter took the time before introducing U2’s performance to acknowledge the DREAMERS who are fighting to be in the United States.  “Today, in this room full of music’s dreamers, we remember that this country was built by dreamers, for dreamers, chasing the American dream,” Cabello said,  just after joining Kesha and dozens of other women on the Grammy stage to perform a powerful rendition of “Praying.” “I’m here on this stage tonight because, just like the DREAMers, my parents brought me to this country with nothing in their pockets but hope. They showed me what it means to work twice as hard and never give up. And honestly no part of my journey is any different from theirs.”
