An assembly will be held on Friday, Oct. 21 by the LGBT club in the auditorium. This will be considered the school’s first time ever having an LGBT history assembly. The LGBT club have came a long way, not just their rallies and club rush moments but they will have the privilege of having their own assembly to display their community, to celebrate their pride and achievements.
Their community embraces their diversity, individuality, and sexuality. They’ll have the pleasure to show their support to this community and how much it means to them. And what is a more fun way than to have an assembly with every student included?
“I’m so excited, a lot of it was planned in the last few months. Ryan Alba, Milagros Robelo, Valeria Gracia, and me- Alyssa Lira, (officers of the LGBT), it took much to plan and we’re happy to share our work with you guys.” said Alyssa , 10th, SAS.
Period 5th teacher will be accountable of taking students to the auditorium. Not only will there be periods 1,2,3, & 5 but we will also have a minimum day dismissal at 12:39pm.
I think it is great that the LGBT community has their first assembly going on and I am glad that I will be there to support my fellow classmates. Great article!
I think that this is a big step for the LGBT club. With this assembly more people can be informed about the club and learn more about it.This assembly can help the club be more known throughout Hollywood High and its a great benefit for them.
