With the end of the college application process ending in early January, seniors are beginning to fill out financial aid applications like the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and the California Dream Act Application. In association with the California Student Aid Commission and the Los Angeles Chambers of Commerce, numerous schools including Hollywood will be offering seniors one-on-one assistance to complete these financial aid applications.

According to College Counselor Heather Brown, the Cash for College Workshop will help seniors and their parents complete applications for federal and state aid. There, they will be able to ask questions about anything dealing with financial aid applications and get help from helpful advisors and counselors. All that is needed in order to complete these forms are important financial documents from parents such as tax returns, W-2 documents, and bank statements.

Remember, many of these applications will be due between February and January, so get them done as soon as possible. If you and your family are struggling to fill out any of these tedious applications, feel free to stop by the library this Saturday Jan. 30, 2015 from 9 am to 2 pm to get help!
