Another year , another Performing Arts Magnet dance recital. This year’s performance will include 29 students of Ms. Goldshein’s and Ms. Thompson’s dance classes starting Nov. 9 through the 11th.
The dance recital was held at Bancroft Middle School while renovations continue on Hollywood High’s auditorium. Tickets were $5 for students and senior citizens, while the adults were $8.
Each teacher choreographed their own dances, Thompson has an alumni student by the name of Jennette C. choreographing two of her own numbers.
This year’s theme is called “Dance Kaleidoscope.” The backdrop shot from a projector hit the dancers in the beginning shown as it is on the flyers. It is an hour and a half show that will most likely include a preview for students attending Hollywood High. Of the 29 dancers in this recital. 15 are from Thompson’s classes and 14 from Goldshein’s classes.
